Blakely is a national board certified Physician Assistant with over 16 years of clinical experience and native North Carolinian. Blakely completed her Bachelor of Science with a Concentration in Microbiology and Cell Biology from Methodist University; graduating with the distinction of Magna Cum Laude in 3 years. And honors graduate receiving her Masters of Medical Science and Bachelor of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Nova Southeastern University.

Blakely started her PA career in rural Family Medicine for 3.5 years; developing a strong passion and foundation in psychiatry. She transitioned to general out-patient psychiatry in 2012; becoming the senior provider of a multi-location practice for nearly 8 years. Blakely spent the next 4 years providing psychiatric services in the long-term care community setting with heavy emphasis in geriatric psychiatry. Before returning to her roots in general out-patient psychiatry in 2023.

Blakely is comfortable treating a wide range of psychiatric disorders in pediatric through geriatric populations. She is a compassionate provider with a central focus on patient rapport and advocacy, providing patient-centered, evidence-based, and outcome-driven treatments as well as a holistic approach. She is passionate about community education, advocacy within mental health, and advancements within the field of psychiatry. Blakely is excited to serve as an integral member of your treatment team at Brinkley Brown Mental Wellness.
